Naturally a bike salesman will tell you they are quite good - he's trying to sell one to you! The truth is, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for.

Kymco, Lifan, Hongdu, Baotian, Kaisar etc., all make cheap motorcycles. They are cheap for one very good reason - they aren't very good.

Build quality is poor, paint and chrome are thin, reliability is suspect and the brakes are usually frightening.

You will do far better for yourself by buying a second hand Japanese or European bike for the same money.

The kymoto hipster 125 crap bike, it has no power for starters. If you only want to spend 2500, then get a used japaneese bike, like a Suzuki GZ250. Or if you wanted to to get something new there is the honda rebel (around $3100), or the yamaha virago (around $3400). They both cost more, but they are 250's and have better power.

Kymco is the better of the china motorbikes. If you looking to send $2500 your money would be better spent on a Japanese motorcycle like, Honda, Suzuki or Yamaha.

honestly a Varadero one hundred twenty five or XL125, you would be able to desire to evaluate a DT125 supermoto bit greater nimble around city however the varadero could be greater effective for the open street, as much as a element as there is basically so some distance you will possibly prefer to go on a one hundred twenty five

There's quite a thread running (mostly) about this brand on here : http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?v=i&t=9643

From what I've heard, too, Kymko is one of the better Chinese brands (made in Taiwan), especially if, as it seems, it's mostly old Honda.

totally agree with twisted as a biker myself you dont cut costs when using 2 wheels. infact chinese bikes have been in the press for snapping the rear linkages and causing nasty accidents.
