I am about to install the realplayer. I already have the windows media player that came with my dell computer. My real player says that it will be my default. does that mean that it will erase my media player. I have not clicked finish yet, because I wanted to ask you first. Please help asap.

No, it won't remove Windows media player. If it is the default then it will open instead of Windows media player for media files that it supports. You can still open WMP manually.

It will not uninstall your windows media player, however it might change your viewing preference defaults. For example one type of video format that defaulted to windows media player may default to real player. This is easily addressed by going into Windows Media Player's settings and clicking the formats to recognize and turning them off in Real Player.

no, it won't delete the WMP... it being default means it will just open Real Player first (defaulted to open first when you select to play a song, or insert a CD into your CD ROM drive)
and you don't have to have it default to Real Player if you don't want. that is an option that can be changed
