Also, when you have a C section is your entire naked body exposed past the drape or just the part they are cutting?. It is worth it to have a baby but this whole process is so humiliating do you not think?.

I've had both, but I also work in the OR as a surgical tech and the proper technique for any surgery is to drape the patient accordingly. The only thing that is exposed is the area that they are working on. When they prep you they will have to uncover you and expose more of you than what they will be working on but that is only until they have you prepped becuase when prepping a patient you prep bigger than the area that you are working. In a c-section for example they will prep you from just under your breasts all they way down past your pubic area (this is for sterility purposes not becuase they are goign to do anything down there). After they prep you then they will drape the area off and the only thing exposed is your abdomen. Don't worry we have seen everything and a pregnant woman's naked body is far from the worst I've seen. Besides that what you look like in the flesh is not what anybody in the OR is concerned with. Trust me we have too many other things to worry about than whether or not you have stretch marks, or how big your belly is, etc.

Believe me once you are in the room for vaginal delivery you won't have a problem with anyone looking at you, you will only be thinking about either the pain or when is this over. I have a problem being naked in front of people and when I got in that deliverery room I didn't care, I just wanted it to be over. I also had a c-section and your covered with a gown then they cover you with a sheet where they just expose your tummy where they are going to make the incision.

before you have the baby you think you're actually going to care about being humble, but when you're in a lot of pain and there are only medical professionals and your husband there, trust me, you don't give a damn. sometimes, in order to alleviate the pain you have to get on all fours w/ your butt in the air, so humility is the last thing on your mind. and sometimes when you're giving birth, you poo a little b/c of the pushing. these people have seen this HUNDREDS of time - it's like nothing to them. go for the vaginal delivery, the healing is faster and there's no surgery involved. and after the baby is born, you don't think twice about whipping out your boob in front of everyone when the baby is screaming for food. don't worry :)

I had a section (but under general anesthetic) and a vaginal birth later on. The C section is not something I would want to consider again but the second birth was fine. I'm sure they will allow you to keep your dignity and be mostly covered!
