It's already in the 80's and like all the other girls at the University are all wearing Daisy Duke's and shorts. I'm not a shorts person and I never wear them. I can't understand why they are all wearing them? Everyone's asking me why i'm not wearing shorts too. I'm like the only girl on the whole campus not wearing shorts. why are shorts so popular with the other girls ?

Everyone has their own reasons for wearing shorts (or not wearing them). It can be for fashion or because of the heat.
But I don't think you should feel bad that you don't wear shorts.(I don't either, and I live in Florida ^_^) Wear what makes you comfortable and what makes you look good.
Personally, I know I don't look good in shorts so I'm not going to wear them, but I like skirts and jeans so I always wear them. As long as you're comfortable and you like how you look, you really shouldn't worry ^_^.
If you're still worried, just try on a pair of shorts and see if you like them. If you don't, don't wear it. ^_^

I know why I wear shorts, so I assume other girls do for similar reasons
[1] Because its really hot out. Theres some days where it is way to hot to wear jeans or pants.
[2] To show off my legs. Sometimes I think that my legs are the only thing I always liked about myself, so why cover up ALL the time?
[3] Its easy because they're casual. When wearing a skirt, you also have to find shoes to wear with it and you have to worry about keeping your legs closed all the time, and hoping no guy is trying to look up your skirt. With shorts, you can just wear sneakers or anything, and be comfortable.

I don't like the look of girls in shorts unless they have legs like Gisele Bundchen. I never wear shorts except to the beach. I think girls should wear skirts, shorts are for boys.

maybe you should consider why you dont like to wear shorts. i didnt like to wear shorts, and the reason was bc i didnt like my legs. now, i wear them when the weather is hot during the summer. or sometimes, i just want to get off the routine of wearing jeans all the time. i got over that thought of my legs, and realized they are cute. i just felt embarrassed of showing them, because i wasnt used to it.
so just think why you dont like to wear them, and maybe consider trying them. there are comfortable and uncomfortable shorts, so you might want to shop around and see what suits you best.
so, girls use shorts sometimes because the weather is hot, because they want to change the routine of jeans, or because they want to show off their tan or their legs.

Because they are into that style.If you dont want to wear them you shouldnt.Everyone has their own style.+ shorts are a little comfortable.

I don't like shorts either and I have nice legs (well ppl tell me I do). I feel like me and comfortable in jeans, I really don't get into showing skin. Maybe your like me?

for me the answer is simple, because it's hot!!(i live in Texas) i don't like wearing really short shorts, though, it doesn't seem like it would be much fun to have a constant wedgie...
