ok so some stupid person started a rumor about me cheating on my boyfriend (not true)anyway its gotten to the point were his brother herd it and believes it. now the problem is im prego and i think my b wants a paternnity test. i feel upset but if my brother said things to me about my b i would always have it in the back of my mind, even if i believd my b like my b does me. but should i do one just so he doesn't have it linger in his mind what if? and so everyone can shut up for good!! Or what?
this is a small town and i just dont want my child to be a gossip conversation topic. help i just dont know what to do!!!

There is kind of a catch 22 here, if you know what I mean. A test would clear up the situation, but people would still say 'she wasn't sure.' Get my drift.
So the point is you can't change people and they are the way they are; especially where you live.
Ask your bf what he wants. Explain the above to him. Tell him you love him and would/will never cheat on him and hold him tight. Good luck to you. And congratuations on being prego. Hope everything ends up in smiles. Ok!!

Do you know who started the rumor?
Before taking any kind of paternity test I would sit your boyfriend down and ask him how stupid is he going to feel for doubting you when the test comes back that he is 99%-100% the father of your unborn child.
I would also tell your boyfriend's brother to mind his own business and let him know that when it is proven (if you take the test) that your boyfriend is the father of your baby that you want a public apology from him and to not ever humiliate you again. I agree with one of the other answerer's that the brother should pay for the test.

This is tricky for you not because of the situation but because you think that your boyfriend will think the same way as you and always doubt you. If he loved you and trusted you then he should not doubt you one single second no matter what the gossip is.
Who started this gossip? Another woman I bet so why is she jelouse just a thought?
You have a pregnancy to get through and will not need all this stress it will pull you and the relationship apart.
he has not asked for a test as he so he may just know it is his baby and it is only nasty gossip.
Sit down with him and talk about this nasty bit of gossip and what he thinks of it tell him the gossip is hurting your feelings .You dont need to justify yourself to anyone you know he is the father of your baby period! Stand tall be confident and hold your head way above nasty gossips they have alteria motives believe me.

A paternity test is probably the best way to put an end to all speculation. It's probably a good idea to go ahead with it. You know you didn't cheat, but you're boyfriend can't have that certainty. At least the test would allow him to openly accept the baby as his, with no doubts, which should surely help him to begin to father the child.

It does not matter what that paternity test reveals the fact that you live in a small town but what you have to remember is that next week it could be somebody else that they will gossip over.Take the paternity test be real nice to everybody and when those results come in sit your boyfriend down and tell him straight that he has let you down not only for not standing by you but also for doubting it was his child.If i was in your shoes i could not forgive and stay with a man who did not trust me but if he begged forgiveness and vowed in future to listen to me and not gossip then maybe just maybe would be granted a second chance................good luck.

It's a tough spot to be in for sure, I think I would do the test just to clear the air and then I would make sure your relationship is based on trust, and let your boyfriend know that it hurts you when he doesn't believe you, and that he would believe a cheap lie as opposed to you is just wrong. if your bloke wants one then get it done. I know its hard and you dont want your child to be the gossip of the town then get one done to prove it. Hopefully your boyf will trust you enough that he wont ask you to do one.

get a peternity test and make the brother pay for it. be gracious and wonderful with everyone and make them feel really guilty
