Yes. The Mayor of my town is saying nasty things about gay people.

The law just came out that says he has to perform marriage, or civil union ceremonies for them.

And he says now, that he will stop performing marriage ceremonies for anybody so that he won't have to do gay civil ceremonies!

He went as far as to say that he performed one, and he found it to disgusting!

I think this would best be taken to the gay and lesbian task force? What do you think?

Yeah, contact the ACLU or GLAAD. They might be very interested in something like this. If the law says he has to perform gay ceremonies and he's so disgusted by it then maybe the prick should resign. Send him a turd in the mail.

He has freedom of speech and he can say whatever he pleases. However, if he has totally refused to perform the unions or told the county commissioner to STOP issuing them, then you have a litigation on your hands.

Contact the ACLU or HRC near you and explain the situation. Maybe something can be done. He can't break the law, you know.
