You can take prenatal vitamins whenever you want. But, if you haven't started yet, you should start now.

You dont need a prescription for prenatals. The exact same stuff is on your supermarket shelf. It's called Prena-Vite . you should have already been taking them. Also try a supplement known as lipo-something (its available at your supermarket where the vitamins are) and it replaces the omega-3 and fatty acids found in fish (because prego women should not eat fish because of the mercury content) so your baby gets the brain food nutrients, but without the mercury in fish

You should already be taking them so start now. It doesn't matter what kind you can just go to walmart and get some basic prenatal vitamins. Congrats!

Now! Starting prenatal vitamins are important before getting pregnant. Most problems arise in the first trimester. I can't stress to you how important it is to make sure your getting the proper nutrition at this point.

All women of child bearing age should take a multi vitamin or at the very least take a folic acid supplement everyday! Folic acid helps reduce certain birth defects.

women should start taking prenatal vitamins when they start trying to conceive, or even earlier. So, you should start on them right away. Spina Bifida (the disability that can occur from not enough folic acid) develops in the first trimester.

Ideally you should start taking prenatal before you try to get pregnant. In your case though now. The sooner you can get more nutrients in your body the better for you and your baby! Congrats!!

Now is the best time. No need to wait. Also see a doctor if you haven't yet to be sure everything is OK and get what comes next. Congrats!

you should be taking them before you get pregnant. start taking them now! they usually recommend starting them 6 week before trying to conceive and to still take them after the baby is born, especially if you plan on breastfeeding.
