Hi, someone just asked me this question, and not owning an iPod, I have no idea! The songs were stored on the PC first, obviously, then synced to the iPod. In the meantime, the computer's second hard drive, which held all the songs, failed. However, the songs are still on the iPod. Is there any way to restore from the iPod back to the computer? I was hesitant to tell them that they should pop in the iPod and sync, because I was worried that it would correspondingly wipe out those songs on the iTunes (thinking we deleted them from the PC).

So, is there any way to resotre from the iPod back to the computer? Thanks!!

Yes u can. Just hook the ipod up to the comupter using the usb cord. Then go to my computer on your computer. Then click on the ipod device icon, it should open and display all of your songs. Once you find those songs just right click on them and click copy. Then paste them in my music.

unfortuneatly there is no way to restore the song from your ipod back to your pc without the original songs actualy on the pc, what you could do would be to ask about data recovery, there are many ways to restore deleted data from a pc, ask about necro files. also you may try a streaming method such as limewire etc.. also if you really want your song back you could just go to your local computer repair to have them restore your hard disk, hope that helps. cya
