My beetle is coming up for an 80,000 mile tune-up and I wanted to know how much it would cost. Or if there are any independent VW auto repair shops that could do it cheaper than a delarship (around the Los Angeles area).

Did you know you only need oil changes every 5,000 miles? It's the beauty of these cars. They are dependable & cheap! I know of a place in Monterey Park (off 60 freeway, near Montebello) highly recommended to me. Jim's VW service 849 E. Garvey Ave. Monterey Park 91755 (626) 288-9760.

Last time I went the guy really helped me out, and even told me the dealer warranty would cover my problem at no charge (he didn't make a dime off me) He said he used to have a beettle too. He got tired of the Electrical wiring problems he had, but he still owns a VW too.
