It is a question? I'm sure other women wonder this too. I do have women friends but it is DIFFICULT to find them.

Women (in general) are very competitive, so it can be tough to be friends with someone you feel in competition with or whom you feel the constant need to outdo.
Women tend to be more backstabbing toward each other, than to guys or than guys are to other guys...again, it's the competition thing and wanting themselves to look good, thus some will turn on other females in hopes of boosting their own image.
Sad statement about women...especially since I am one and hate to see that behavior in my gender, but its true.

I often ask myself the same question. Plain and simple, women are competitive. I know myself, my friends, and a lot of other women are always comparing themselves to other women. So if you have some female friends, you are always sizing yourself up against them. It is petty and silly but a lot of women do it.
Also sometimes it is hard to find someone with similar likes, attitudes, and beliefs as you. I am not a very fashion minded person so I sometimes find women who go on and on about clothes can annoy me at points. So i choose not to surround myself with fashionistas because well, we wouldn't have much to talk about.

Because Women have a very hard time not comparing themselves to other Women. Their insecurities get in the way of just accepting themselves and another women as their friend without judging them.

I dont know, i feel the same way. Sometimes I feel like im too pretty and they get jelaous, sometimes I also feel that they are too shallow and I can't have an interesting conversation with them. May be you're changing, growing up, and your friends are still inmature.

i dont know but i know what you mean!!! I think that were just jealous in nature, dont say no cause you know when your friend starts talking to a cute guy at the mall your like "Aww hes sooo hot!!" that is a type of jealousy, although some girls jealousy is cool, others is bad, so yeah!!

You know, I've always wondered this myself. I've always been closer to my guy friends, and my girlfriends, well, they never last long. Maybe we see other women as competition.

Um, cause women are evil. And if you don't have something to offer in terms of popularity, prestige, money, ect...
Then your not worth the time.
Get guy friends, they will accept you for who you are, not what you have to offer.

because girlz talk trash about other girls, it's hard to find a girl that doesn't say mean untrue things behind your back. it's like if you don't have a girl bestfriend by the time you are 20 then you won't because all girls do is talk trash to other girls about one girl behind their backs

Because girls are fake, backstabbing, jealous people.
Most girls, not all, but thats is why i dont have many girl friends. Most girls are very fake and talk s**** about each other behind their backs, they are very jealous, and dont really care about each other, they only care about themselves

Sometimes it's hard cause that other woman is probably just like you. ANd when the other woman acts or does things like you it's makes you irritated.
I don't know that is why i can't get along with some.
