He has a hernia and needs surgery....hes at the vet know waiting on an ultrasound confirmation.

Yes, absolutely. He will be fine. That is a common surgery and you can baby him when he comes home. Do not worry. Your Vet went to college 12 years just to do that!! He will recover and love you all the more!! Don't you know how good Sammy's Mama is going to look to him when you pick him UP?? This is a breeze for your vet so please trust him with Sammy. God Bless You, You Cat Lover You!!! And God Bless Sammy Cause He's Going on a short trip!! Ask if you can leave a towel from home with him in his cage, Honey, and give them one you can rub all over yourself and Sammy will know you're waiting for him cause he misses his Mama too. @80) Sweet Lady!! Awww of course I will! My kitty had an umbilical hernia when she was a kitten and had the surgery as well,. She's fine now and I'm sure Sammy will be too ;)
