Chenney Duvall books by Gilbert and Lynn Morris. A series about a turn of the century woman doctor who turns to God with her problems.
Love comes Softly by Janette Oke A beautiful old west series.

Ooo! I read a really good book a few years ago about a chubby teen girl who didn't really get noticed. She goes to her aunt's summer camp and tries to do her best to lose weight and act popular. She meets a cute boy and learns that just being herself and being happy, made her lose weight and become beautiful. It's really touching <3 It's called The Crysallis. Another good book I read was God on a Harley. It's not about a teen, but a good one for girls/ women about a woman who is droning through life and is kind of depressed. She meets a man (on a Harley) and is wary of him. He claims to be God, and they form a relationship through which he gives her her own personal ten commandments to follow. She begins to love herself again. It's a beautiful book <3.

Melody Carlson writes several different series of Teen Christian books. There's also a series by Robin Gunn. Both are fantastic and very popular at my library.
Carlson deals with regular teenage girls going through normal problems and using their faith to deal.

Have you ever thought about getting her or him a teen bible in the the New International Version or easier? It's the same as a regular bible but the language is just so much easier to understand and they have interesting facts you might not find in a regular bible.

Diary of a Teenage Girl series is a great Christian fiction series. For nonfiction I would suggest Sister Freaks.

uhm their's this one sorry i dont know the name about this girl who dies because she says she believes in god. so she stood up for her religion and i loved that book. but not to be mean you dont want to push it on your friend because that might make her mad.
