I am assuming you ask doing without a T.V.in a big city because there are other forms of entertainment available.It is possible to live with out a T.V. in any size city. There are books to read, if one has a computer these things can really entertain us. Movies to see I like music and the symphonies play in town as well as play being put on and many other forms of entertainment. Just going for a walk, watching nature. I would not miss my T.V. at all I would miss my computer!

YES! Anyone can live without a television in a big city. Provided that all of the people in this city doesn't have any TV or even 98% of the people doesn't have a television.
It is absolutely possible, without a doubt, that a person CAN surivive a big city without a TV. We have different communication devices which we can use to be informed about the this big city, and the world before us.

I lived without a TV for 2 1/2 years and my kids and I loved it. We did more together and enjoyed our time talking, not just sitting beside eachother watching a tv.
I did finally get a TV since my son was a teenager and home alone some in the eveings, gave him something to kill brain cells with. We don't have cable or anything just 5 free channels.

well, since you're " sin tele" i'm going to guess that youre alive, and living in a big city without a television. so i think its possible. the thign is many people dont watch tv. if you dont use it, then you dont need it. myself i need tv, but i dont own a cell phone, or a dish washer, or hair drier, some people woudl consider these things necessities, but its really subjective. you would know whehter its necessary or not. most likely not
