Paul Michael Levesque, better known as "Triple H", short for his former ringname Hunter Hearst Helmsley, suffered a torn right quadriceps muscle at the New Years Revolution pay-per-view event in January. Surgery was performed by the famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama on January 9, 2007.
It has been estimated that the recovery and rehabilitation time for this type of surgery is four to six months, so that would put Triple H back in the ring by June or July at the earliest.
Coincidentally, this is the second go-around for Levesque for this type of surgery - in 2001, he suffered the exact same injury to his other leg.
Given that professional wrestling is the source of this man's income, I would fully expect a return to the ring by this fall. Keep in mind, however, that he'll be 38 in July, and given the grueling physical nature of the entertainment, there will come a point where you can expect the constant abuse to take its toll.
