there are 3 main things that make quasars important
1. it is believed that a quasar is the gas being compressed right before it goes into a supermassive blackhole. As such it is used to "prove" that supermassive blackholes exist
2. the way quasars behave makes many scientists look at the ending of the big bang, so it helps give some scientific evidence for the big bang
3. it shows higher order molecular structures. These higher molecular structures show a massive amount of star formation early in the unvirse.
and 4. because quasars can be mapped by their known locations and energy outputs at some distant time in the future, mankind can use quasars as a type of lighthouse in navigating the galaxies.

The amount of light that a quasar emits is equivalent to light emitted by a thousand galaxies. Quasars remain a mystery to astronomers. They don't know how quasars are formed and what is their source of energy.

One of the most remarkable trends in gamma-ray astronomy in recent years has been the emergence of high-energy gamma-ray quasars as an important component of the gamma-ray sky. At gamma-ray energies, these active galaxies are bright; they are highly variable at all energies. Unlike the Seyfert type AGN, most of these sources are preferentially detected at high energies, usually 100 MeV or more. In fact, they have been detected above 1 GeV, and some up to several TeV! Given the large distances to these objects and the strong emission of high-energy gamma-rays, these are the most powerful particle accelerators in the Universe. Over 50 high-energy quasars are known at this time.

How come loose? Why do I understand each and every little thing Tyler purely suggested and that i won't have the ability to respond to this freaking question.? i'm questioning in line with possibility is it because of the fact the information are there. i will separate those, i will get a seen. Now if i'm mendacity out in my field, i'm staring up, i'm finding left, suited, i will see until something blocks my imaginative and prescient. there is purely lots gentle then it hits the dark. i will stare all evening, my eyes and the attention of the hubbly bubbly thingy will purely see until they meet. Distance would not count. suited? ok i'm gonna fail too. Crapp!!

I don't know much about them but from what I have read and seen on T.V. they are important because they are at the farthest reaches of the universe or something like that. They are also considered exotic objects and not much is known.
Hope this helps.
