Well, sift through the history of your relationship. Do you have any special places that you have been on first dates or first kiss or anything like that (or a place you both have always wanted to go)? Be romantic and creative! You don't always have to go buy new clothes or jewelry type gifts, give a gift that means something more or could give you something interesting to talk about. Take her out for a romantic evening on the town or in another town. You could even do something like setting up a scavenger hunt around your house (or hotel) with notes and clues. When she first wakes up (or comes home from work or whatever) there could be a note on her pillow or where she can see it leading her here and there until she finds her gift (it could be tickets for you both to attend something, or a "coupon" that says you will clean up or do this or that for her whenever she wants to redeem it with you, or buy her a dress and she can find it with an invitation to dinner for either that night or another. If you decide to initiate the surprise when she's coming home from work, you could even have a nice candlelight dinner prepared. Maybe even with a lil romantic slow dancing to your favorite song(s) afterwards. Like I said, be creative, and it will be memorable! You both have your love for each other being married and all, and based on that loving atmosphere, I'm sure you can think of something. Good luck!

Being it's on April Fool's Day, I would act like I forgot but have a whole evening planned with a romantic candle lit dinner, rose petals all over the bed and trailing to the bathroom and in the bubble bath. Get her a bracelet or a nice ring.

Good Luck! And Happy Anniversary!

here is my advice. rent a motel room, decorate it with her favorite flowers, soft music and candle light, do all of this while she is working or what ever she may be doing so that she doesnt know. Take her to dinner, get her a small gift like a ring, necklace something nice that she will really like. Then when dinner is over take her to the motel room, open the door for her, and let her walk in first to see it. put rose pedals on the bed, candy on the table, what ever she likes.

Well since its April fools day Do something fun... Do a practical joke that comes out with something great...

example: take some napkins...write one thing on everyone about things you love about her...then throw them around the how...First she will be pissed off with the mess...you just walk out of the house for a while..She will start to clean i up and realizing as she cleans that the napkins say things on it..then come back in the house and she will give you a big hug and hopefully more...

Just an idea. I love doing things like that.

Get her something that she will be able to keep forever. NOT ROSES!!!!! They die and it is too much money for something that will only last a week. Start her a china set. Buy her one item at a time. Every year you can add to it. Or buy her a day at the spa if she is not into thing that you keep a long time. One thing you can do is ask her best friend. She may be able to help.

Maybe clean the house for her, or do something sweet you don't normally do. You could write sweet notes for her to find throughout the day, then you could take her out to dinner (nice if she's classy) or somewhere fun like bowling/pizza (if she's like that) then have a bubble bath-I'm sure there's SOMETHING she doesn't have... check around on the net. Jewlery always works....Or a cute idea is to get a journal and write about the past year and your FEELINGS... (we like that) then every year in that same journal for your anniversary write about the past year... then when ya'll celebrate your 50th you'll have so much to look back on... plus when the hard times come, you can look back on that book. Your kids and grandkids would love it too. Man, I'm good. :)

A day at the spa followed by a nice romantic evening. Dinner, candles and move on to candles and a bubble bath.

A romantic get away. Roses pedals on the bed and soft music and a little slow dance.

How about no gifts? A nice love letter or a card? I find that better than diamonds and flowers...they actually took the time to write their feelings down and share that with me. I don't like gifts, that's just my preference, I don't think materialistic garbage makes a relationship stronger, but that's just me.
