I think it's because they know what it's like to be misunderstood the most. I found that interesting too. The people with the most open-minds are the ones who are prone to the most prejudices.

In real life there are many kind people and many that aren't. In a fictional story, like Borat, the author can choose to make a point like "those that have been down trodden often are the most kind". This is not always reality, however.

I didn't find it odd because social minority groups can relate to feeling like outsiders and being rejected because they do not fit into expected boundaries of colour, sexual preference, language, religion etc while the majority who are not 'deviant' think they are the ones with high culture and are really the ones thinking, it's them and us

unfortunately i have to agree with you. my race is full of hate and evil but there are still a few of us that are genuinely good so please just be open minded. i love all cultures and people
