I don't know about the online ads but the occasionally have them in the paper and you have to pay for your own training, they choose the store, and you pay for your purchase then they reimburse you up to your spending limit. Your paid based on how many stores you hit and what not, pretty much commission.

These ads are referred to as Mystery Shoppers. And yes, you have to shop at the places they want. You can't go walking into D&G wanting to buy a dress, we all know the customer service in high-retail end stores are practically flawless. It's more of the local shops. But, if you're interested, you should answer the ad.

Obviously, those jobs do exist. The thing is, I don't know about you getting to keep the merch. When I worked at a big name chain our secret shoppers would come in and buy one item. Then, a few hours later they would come back and return it to see how easy the return process was. The jobs are out there. I just don't know how truthful the ones in pop up ads are. Try finding a more legit source if you want that as your profession.

I have never been a shopper but I have been shopped having worked at a department store. These people are paid by companies to shop at stores to rate the store, customer service, merchandise and more. They do pay you to shop, however, I do not believe it is much and I do believe that you have to shop at particular stores.

Those are the undercover shopper thing. Where they pay you to go to stores and pretend to shop to see how the customer service is. To see how well they treat you or ignore you. To see how quick they are to check you out.

It's called a secret shopper. I'm not entirely sure what you do. All I know is you go shopping and sometimes they'll reimburse you, sometimes it comes out of your pocket.
