My daughter was born under the sign Cancer. I am an aquarian. Are we compatable?

im a crabby cancer and my daughter is an Aquarius, we get along ok now she is older .....we have learnt to compromise lol........ but omg she was THE most stubbornest of my children lol

and i dont mind being called a crabby cancer (in an affectionate way lol)

Some are almost chronically crabby. I did not realize though it was their reaction to worry (as Asheila wrote); as it always feels like the crabbiness is directed at you, but you don't know why. I do believe Asheila is correct, though, because they are really home/family people, and they are worriers about home, family, etc. - not material things. So I guess now when I come across a crabby Cancer, I'll try to be calming or maybe funny?

As far as your relationship with your daughter goes, try to appreciate each others personalities if you feel conflict. You both have some great traits the other does not have/or not as emphasized. I think diversity in any form enriches people, and you will learn a lot from each other, which in turn should help keep you close.

We are not Crabby. I am a Cancerian and my wife is Aquarian. We are married 6 years next month and we love every second we are together.

Yeah we are a bit crabby but usually when we are feeling quite insecure or uncertain about something. Rather than saying that's how we feel we act crabby, as you put it. But underneath all we are loving, homely and fun.

We like to feel loved and secure.

Well I am anyway.

Whatever, star sign your daughter is I am sure that you will love each other no matter what.

CANCER: MOON CHILD....they are ruled by the 4 phases of the moon. so when the full moon is near, that is their "crabby' phase....so the next 3 weeks they are their lovable selves.......
they are gentle souls who do not like conflict or aggravation. like their sign, the crab, they go 'sideways" in life instead of straight ahead.....they all have trouble making decisions and should follow their first gut feelings.....but dont!
they always second guess themselves.
they LOVE to hide food in their room.....comfort to them.
since they are water and you, aquarius, ARE air....there can be a bit of a "flood" when they overpower your wishes.....
but, basically you can get along.....she may just not understand WHERE you are coming from at times.....so explain it!

their crabby nature comes from certain insecurities involving home, family or personal situations, hence their nature to withdraw in their "shell"

I have a Cancer friend who's very much like a sister to me, and she can become crabby and difficult to deal with sometimes...

you have to make sure to give her a lot of emotional guidance. yeah, and sometimes cancers can get very moody so just have patience with her and dont take it personally.
