the water temperature, tank size, mating grass or equivalent, and must be mated (male & female) very doubtful they will mate in a small tank. although, under ideal situation, water temp. app. 80 degrees and a secluded breeding site (such as tall grass) and you have mated fish IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE. angels are very hard to breed though

Having a male and female doesn't guaranty the will mate. Generally fish from a store do not mate. Angelfish are very hard to mate. To buy a quality mating pair from a breeder, you'll pay well over $100. Because a breeding pair is worth so much, it is rare to find them for sale at auctions, shows or breeders.
If you were to put 12 Angelfish into a nice tank, like a 90 gallon, under the right circumstances and water conditions, chances are slim they will mate. It does happen, but rarely.

OMG 5 gallons? They're not gonna live long. Are you even heating and filtering the water? That is waaaaaay to small of a tank to have 2 angel fish. Be humane and at least get a 10 or 15 gallon.

Not in a 5 gallon tank, no. An adult angelfish will be taller than your tank is, and they will develop malformed fins and will eventually succomb to stunting.
Angelfish are easy to spawn, but you need to keep them happy. Get them a 30 gallon tank (minimum), and make sure they're male and female - feed them good food, do weekly water changes, and they will spawn for you.
However, the fry will only eat live baby brine shrimp, and they need to be fed at least 4 times a day for the first few weeks of their lives. It's a lot of work!

I extra up the record you prepare and have self belief you have an quite sturdy blend. Rule of thumb is approx. a million inch of fish for each gallon of water. you're merely boarder line yet ought to have not any issues in case you alter a minimum of 25% with clean water each and each month. next step, attempt to get some changes of flowers from South usa. flowers delivers each and all of the oxygen the fish will ever want and in case you pass with flowers, do no longer use any air stones as they'll stunt the growth of the flowers.

What are you doing having 2 Angel fish in a 5 gallon tank. Do you not know how big they become? You are setting them up for malformed bodies and premature death. As you are clearly on the internet go onto thinkfish.co.uk and check out their community creator. It tells you how many and what fish are suitable for the size of tank. Otherwise, get a much bigger tank or give your fish to someone who has bigger tanks.

Nope, in fact, they will most likely die a slow painful death b/c you are housing them improperly. A pair of angels need at LEAST a 40, if you want them to live, let alone mate. You need a bigger tank, or you need to return your angels.

Zoe has it right, your tank is too small. They wont mate in that, nevermind be able to live soon. Angelfish get quite large, take them back for smaller fish (tetras or guppies) or get a suitable tank.
