I have to make an alien costume for my two sons for school aged 7 & 8. I have no idea where to start. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible because I'm not very good at sewing. Does anyone have any idea's?

I don't really want to pay for an outfit tbh and there are none about anyway as its not halloween, they have some to order from America but I need it for next week. They are really expensive too.

Take green sweatpants and sweatshirts. Use fabric paint and glitter to "jazz them up". For antena use pipe cleaners wrapped around a hairband and maybe glue small pom-poms to the ends of the pipe cleaners. Possibly use face paint or masks (for large eyes and skin coloring) to complete the effect. It shouldn't cost too much, especially if you already have the sweatpants and sweatshirts. Good Luck!!

How about going as Doctor Who and a Cyberman. Both costumes will be cheap and easy to make. The Cyberman costume could consist of some old clothes sprayed silver with spray paint and a card mask, the Doctor costume could be a hat, a long striped scarf (adult size should do) and a long coat.

Spock's another cheap alien. Blue sweater, hair gel and cheap "elf" ears from a costume shop.
