Ok, I missed school today because I am sick. Im in drama and we have to do a skit, we could have either done the skit today, or monday, so I just checked my phone and one of my friends who is in the skit is all "well we are gunna get someone to replace u, and you can just fail it, its not really our problem" is it just me or is that rude as hell ? I know it is partly my fault for not showing up but they could have waited and done it on monday

Really people...It doesn't take a whole lot of physical strength to operate a computer...cut the girl a little slack.

If they're really your friends they shouldn't act like that, and besides if you had the choice of doing it today or Monday then they should have put it off.

It is rude the way your friend broke the news to you but that's what happens when you have people that are depending on you to help the team. Remember this lesson - when people depend on you, you have to do what you can to get the job done. Sometimes life doesn't stop for you. It's a hard lesson to learn. I am guessing that you aren't really, really sick because then you would not have gotten the message that you did. Your friends would have known a few days ago that you were ill enough to warrant missing a day of school. You probably could have toughed out the day today and done the skit - especially since it is FRIDAY and you could have spent the weekend in bed getting better. Sorry dear, but you have to face the consequences for your decision to stay home today. Now tough it out, and pick back up. Is it possible for you to put something together this weekend so when you show up for class on Monday you can still get a grade? Can you do a one person monologue?

Good luck.

My opinion that is rude. If she was your friend, why she couldn't just let the instructor know since you are out sick, yall can wait until Monday to do the skit. It does sounds cruel. I'm sorry that you are about to fail due to your so call friend stupidity. If I was you, I would get my mom or call yourself to speak with your instructor about it. The last thing you need is failing grade.

well I'm sure you have heard the saying"the show must go on" wel it does with or without you. They may see it as being rude on your part that after putting in the time on the skit you let them down. I understand you said you were sick but you need to take precautions when others are depending on you. It's all about responsibility.

If they choose to do it today, then your teacher should have you do a make up assignment come Monday. After all, it's not your fault you're sick. And yeah, that was kinda rude of your friend to come out and say that. Your teacher wouldn't make you fail it because you're sick.. hopefully they wouldn't..

Don't listen to those quacks who are saying you're not sick. I know that when I'm sick, of course I rest, but I go online once and awhile too.

That is very rude of your friend. It is fine if they felt they needed to replace you - they are rehearsed and ready to go today, and it would be unfair that they should wait and perhaps have their performance and grade suffer simply because you weren't able to come - but it was very rude to say that they have no concern for you or your grade.

However, the teacher will be understanding of your situation, and will offer you a chance to make up your grade.

So think up a monologue to do your self, you can still pass without them, you might get extra marks , if you show you have done real work. Teachers are impressed by that sort of thing

that sucks, I'd talk to the teacher, (s)he should give you some chance to make it up somehow, otherwise it's totally unfair, also, get some new friends, I'd snub those jerks from now on, they don't deserve friends if that's how they treat them!

also, ignore those who can't comprehend that being sick doesn't mean you can't partake of quiet activities like being on the computer, it's very responsible of you to stay home and avoid infecting others.

um absolutely.. Your friends should have had enough respect for you in general to know that you would be back on monday. and its basically bull that their going to just let you fail. for the simple reason that you CANT CONTROL THAT YOUR SICK!!

Hope it works out for you!! :(
