well if the game has multiplayer capabilities then there should be a multiplayer button somewhere in the main menu screen.

Why not try visiting one. Just ask anyone playing online games out there.
There are a lot of types of ONLINE GAMES....such type matters a lot.

If you are talking about a video game system you have to plug your system up to your cable modem, put the internet disk into the system and then follow the requirements.
