Can any one tell me how I can correct the owners name on a recently purchased in the UK ' Apple iPod 80GB ' ?
I live in London UK and the iPod is my wifes but I loaded iTunes through my computer and now my name is detailed on the i Pod. I have little,- or no, IT knowledge and I am not very computer technically minded.
The instructions with the new Apple iPod were a bit vague to me and clearly my computer named me to be the owner, (I bought it for her birthday) Is there an easy way to get a factory reset so I can start over again, or can anyone suggest how I can change it over to name wifes name.
My wife has many CD and DVD which she would like on the iPod. Is there an easy way to transfer her vaste CD collection and some DVDs to her iPod ? Also is there an easy way to remove unwanted songs and DVDs from the iPOD. Thank for the help.

Here you go! A utility developed especially to erase the iPod back to it's starting point!

As far as getting the CD collection into there, all she has to do is insert her CDs one at a time and iTunes will import everything into her iTunes directories. You can set the type of files that are created and other options for the importing by going to the iTunes preferences, and then selecting the "Advanced" tab, and under that tab, selecting the "Importing" sub-tab.

As far as iPod managment, all you have to do is set up a playlist and tell iTunes to transfer that playlist to the iPod and remove anything that is not on that playlist. You can also set it to auto-synch to a particular playlist every time you connect your iPod to the system, so as you revamp that playlist and add or remove items, when you plug the iPod in, it will be modified to match it.
