Over centeries man as gazed upon the stars asking many questions, so here's a question for you to think about on a rainy day- 'What shape do YOU think our Universe is?' Feel free to speak your mind, there's no proven right answer.

Thanks

You need boundaries to have shape. As the universe is infinite it has no boundaries. Therefore it has no shape. But if it did it would be shaped like an infinite duck. Just because I said so.

think of it as a swimming pool. The big bang was a fat man that splashed into the water and the supernovas and black holes are people moving around the floor next to the pool. When all this happens, water/ matter is spread in inconsistent ways and directions. Like any bomb, the blast is never a perfect circle. Then once the water, matter settles, it is moves again, and again by other stars/blackholes/people. If the universe started at one central location then by now it is just an inconsistent shape that would resemble a bubble with infinite numbers of ripples along the surface. Just one big unshapely blob

that is a good question. My opinion is that the universe is shapeless, so far. well, due to the fact that people have not yet seen the end. One scientist looked at the stars and discovered a small dot, which was black. Later on in the years, when they developed a better bigger and stronger telescope, the scientist zoomed into the dot and found more stars in that speck than anyone could count. So the universe is an endless thing. which is also, full of new and exciting surprises. :)

I like to think the universe is more of an egg shape, which can explain why the universe is not as deep (vertical) as it is wide (horizonal) as most mathematical calculations seem to indicate thus far.

Hmmm... good, mind-teasing question!
Okay, I would say that the universe is made of layers, dimensions, and planes...

Layers:
Seven layers of sky, seven layers of earth, and seven layers of sea.

Dimensions:
Our eyes fail to grasp the other dimensions... what we can see is actually 3-D, but I think there are about 6.. in all directions.

Planes:
That ofcourse is real, and it's not my opinion...
There are many planes, and many creatures of all kinds in every plane... We live in the physical, and when we sleep, our souls travel to the Astral... these are two, the others I'm not quiet sure of, but I am sure they exist. And yes, there are aliens.

space is infinite so how can it have a shape. or are you talking just about the matter in the universe(stars, galaxies, nebulae etc)? if so, than it should be spherical because of the the explosion that created it: the big bang.

I think the universe is in horrible shape with all the pollution and war going on...I could not see how it is in good shape at all!

so sad :(

i think its demensions incresaing themselves ina circular motion red-shifted stars or watever show that the universe is expanding but it al happened from the 'Big Bang' theory.
and it was all a clump of mass and stuff so think it's like in a circular motion like just expanding and expanding

I think it might be round because a looooong time ago men thought that the world was flat and they later discovered that is was round.

in the particular 4 dimensions that we observe, flat.

throwing in the remaining 6 or so dimensions that string theory suggests, I don't know.....
