I want to run a support group for young woman who do not have mothers in their lives - I would like to give them gifts of shampoo etc - the aim is to discuss hygiene and other type subjects that young woman would normally get advice from their mothers. I need funding for supplies

Are you in the UK?
If so, go to your local Council for Voluntary Service (nothing to do with the Council), see phone book, their advice is free. they will help you to set up a proper organisation and you will be able to access a variety of funding streams, inluding the Lottery small grants fund, Awards for All.

you could either ask at citizens advice
for someone who may be able
to help
or put a ad on craigs list
or in the classified ads column
in the local paper
