Sea slugs are really beautiful and not many people know about them!
No, they aren't cuddly or cute but they are beautifully adapted for their environment and the way they live.
PS: I'm not sure I seek their qualities in myself though!

Someone has analysed my answer and interpreted it as I value intelligence a lot. The qualities of your fav animal is what you sought in yourself. The dolphin is also sociable, sleek, benevolent.
The qualities of the second fav animal is what you sought in your spouse. I like them stylish, unfazed, hard to get, poised, unemotional, dangerous when provoked, quiet, confident.
I thought the analysis was really accurate.

The Earth worm, primarily because it doesn't have much to worry about in life, and if there were ever a thing such as reincarnation, I'd like to be brought back as one.
Secondly is that I chose the Earth worm because I don't like animals that seem mainstream - ones which everyone always seems to like. I like being different whenever possible.

The jaguar..a magnificent beast..looks like a leopard but is more muscular.
My favourite bird is the goldfinch.. There are 3 outside the window now eating niger seed from a feeder...lovely birds.
My least favourite..the domestic cat..pointless and they crap on my lawn...air rifle required methinks.

Leopard.
Best power to weight ratio of most mammals.
Able to survive in the most difficult of conditions.
And enough character to take on and beat almost anything.
If there is one animal I would never tease, it's a leopard.
I also think they are the best looking animal.

I love almost all animals, especially Marine animals...
But if I were to choose, I would definitely go with dogs.
Reason: They are absolutely amazing, and they make faithful friends for a lifetime.

Mines has to be giraffes, i love them they are so different from peoples normal choices.
I love them so much to the extent i have a tattoo of one! my room is full of cuddly toys, i do have one adpoted in a zoo. Also i get called giraffe cos my height and eye lashes.
Giraffes for me has to be my favourite animal!

dolphins used to be mine
however last week i camped
in the sahara desert and my new fave
animal (besides courtney my dog)
is a CAMEL
i rode one up and down the sand dunes
and they are lovely
