Try gold tones. Maybe some light gold eyeshadow to highlight those pretty eyes and some pearl white shadow under the brow to light them up. Try some peach-colored blush. Benefit has a really good one called Georgia. It will give you a glowy vibe but light. Try maybe brown liner instead of black to lighten things up. Hope this helped you!
I'm an Aries too btw. :)

If you have a big mall in your area with a Rich's/Macy's or a JC Penney's or big dept. store, they will do a free makeover to see what type of makeup you need. (They will also try to sell you THEIR product, tell them you're just shopping around right now.) Or if you know anyone who sells Avon or MaryKay, they can give you some free samples and show you how to apply it. Sounds like you need a matte-finish Ivory or beige foundation (the kind that looks more like powder-only people with good skin can wear it),loose powder (if your skin tends to get oily-none if not), light brown eyeshadow, very little blush, and a lipstick that's beigish-brown with a little frosty lip-gloss. Don't forget the mascara. Eyelashes are beautiful when accentuated. Also, if you have a dark mole or freckle, dab it with a little dark brown eyeliner to highlight a beauty mark. Models do this when they have a zit. Neat trick, huh?

The most important factor in choosing makeup colors is determining your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone.
Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.
Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.
Look at your wardrobe and hold up a few items in different colors against your face. Which ones appear more flattering to you in a mirror with natural sunlight? Which colors are you drawn to?
If you are not sure, ask one or two trusted friends or family members who's style you admire.

This web page may be helpful. It has related sites listed at the bottom.
As for color palettes:
1. Earth colors are considered to be more neutral and natural
e.g. taupe or brown eyeshadow, soft blush (Nars Orgasm), lip colors that are like your own but with a little oomph (Revlon Lip Super Lustrous Gloss - Cherries in the Glow)
2. Jewel colors are considered to be more dramatic
e.g. blue or purple or green or shimmery eye shadows, black eyeliner, bold blush, deep burgundy or bright pink lip colors
You can choose from either palette as long as the tones are flattering.
www.cosmeticscop.com & www.makeupalley.com are good resources. Cosmeticscop has application instructions, ingredient dictionary and product reviews. Makeupalley has consumer to consumer product reviews organized by brand and category.
www.sephora.com has a beauty school section worth checking out too.
Since you're starting and want a natural look I suggest:
1. a tinted moisturizer w/ SPF (Neutrogena)
2. mascara & a neutral taupe eyeshadow for day or a shimmery champagne for evening (L'Oreal FeatherLash & any brand of eyeshadow)
3. a sheer lipstick or soft lip gloss for day (BeneFit, Clinique Almost Lipstick, Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Cherries in the Glow, Neutrogena tinted balm or lip sheer) & a lip gloss for evening (Revlon or L'Oreal)
4. a gel blush (Mark by Avon, Tarte, Sephora) or a mineral blush (Neutrogena, L'Oreal is coming out w/ a new one)

Hi there! If you are happy with your skin and complexion, then all you need is to add a little color. To start out, all I would suggest is eye color and a matte lipstick. Matte lip colors tend to be more durable than glosses and frosts, needing fewer applications throughout the day. I'd go with a spice or peach color, such as Maybelline's "Peach Mocha" or "Sugared Bronze". For eye colors and selections, and if you are budget conscious like a lot of us out there, go to your nearest Mal-mart and take a look at their Almay products. They have a line of eye makeup called Intense I-Color. These color selections are grouped specifically for your eye color. Each eye shadow palette has three coordinating shades, and there are eye liners and mascaras suited for green eyes too. Contrary to what another person answered, try putting on your eye liner on the outside of the lashes, not the inside. Not only is it not as intimidating as lining on the inside of the lashes, it also makes the eyes appear larger, not smaller. With summer approaching, there's really no need to worry about blush, as your skin with tend to be sun-kissed naturally. (unless that's a step you'd like to experiment with, then try a rosy peach color, only along your cheekbones). I hope this information helps! Good luck!

First off, you need good concealer. Spend the most time shopping for that and always always try it before you buy it. Don't buy it unless you are satisfied it is perfect for your skin.
Then you need blush: a soft color and bronzer. Use the blush for everyday and mornings. Use the bronzer for nights or those special days to shine. As someone who doesn't have much experience with make up, you are better off buying natural colored eye shadow. Brown eye liner and mascara would work great with your light eyes. Finally, you can stick with moisturizing lip balm until you are ready to experiment with colors. Good luck!

That is ok that you just started.. I started applying all over makeup around the exact same age.
Its ok to start now its never too late.. I also didn't want to look trashy either. i always used just lipstick/lipgloss with eyeliner and mascara.. But now i realize for pics and going out its great to give my face the full attention it needs...
You can check out this site that will give you full detail on what colors you can use for your face, lips, and eyes . there is an area where it can show you or guide you on how to apply too!!!
Best of luck!!!! Its worth making ourselves look beautiful!!!

For makeup, Avon has a mineral powder w/Spf 15 for about $10. This way you don't go spending so much and try it first. Or if you prefer a liquid foundation, go for a (SHEER) depending on your skin type. About your dressing, it all depends on your mood and personality. It would be hard to tell you a specifically way to dress. But one advice on this would be that every time you see an outfit, try it before buying and if you feel like yourself and comfortable in it, go for it. Most of the time it's not about what you're wearing, it's about how confident you wear it!!!

I'm a 25 year old Aries with brown hair and green/hazel eyes......did I post this question when I was drunk and I don't remember? Just kidding, but I totally agree with treadstone. Get thee to Sephora. Keep it simple. Neutral eyes, soft blush, and pinkish lipgloss (Revlon Super Lustrous Cherries in the Glow is the prettiest in the world, and my best kept secret, treadstone, thanks for giving it away!). Go see someone for a makeover if you want to get wilder than that.

go to Ulta and tell them the same thing you told us and let them play around with your look. You could try one of the dept . make -up counters in the mall, but be careful they may have you looking trashy. Go to one that you trust and just tell them you want a subtle look. They can advise you on colors and give you tips on colors and you sound like you don't want alot so it shouldn't take that long. Just some suggestions.

Try mineral foundation, a neutral eye shadow and a little mascara! You can go for some blush too, if you like...but you'll have to find the right color for your skin tone. You can get all of this stuff at the grocery store...
