the lawyer i want to fire works on the "he doesn't get paid unless i get paid" would i still owe him anything even if he hasn't done anything for me yet even court costs, there has been no contact from him

Ive answered this for you in last question.Yes most likely around 33 % of your settlement. Look over the contracts that were signed when you met to discuss the situation.
Also talk it over with the lawyer you are trying to obtain. They know every legal thing that can be done,but your current lawyer will get some money when you get a settlement. How much, depends on the situation.

Generally, if a lawyer can prove they spent X amount of time working on the case, they are entitled to recover for that (either hourly or on a percentage basis) once you recover.

If the lawyer has literally done nothing, then there is nothing for them to recover. But it all depends on how the retainer contract is worded. In most states, any contingent fee agreement must be in writing.

Lawyers are all scumbags, work it our with the party you have issues. It will save you both time and money. Most lawyers are one step above the commonn thief anyway.
