First, as Mr Robot stated, Make SURE the power on Switch is definately connected properly. For that matter make sure ALL conenctions are correct.

It can be many single things or even several things wrong.

Since you've already tried another power supply The best I can suggest is this.....

Remove everything from the motherboard's slots except 1 Memory module and the Video card and see if it boots up.

*IF* it does, then you can install 1 card at a time until it won't boot to find the culprit\s.

*IF* it still doesn't start from the above instructions, only other option I can suggest is to try installing 1 Memory module that is known to be good. Same thing for the video card.

*IF* it still doesn't work, then I'm afraid your motherboard is bad.

There are several different things you could try.

First, if it doesn't work with the new power supply, you should return that one as soon as you can to get your money back.

Next, check to make sure the switch still works. You can do this by finding where the power switch connects to the motherboard. It is a momentary switch, so all you have to do is short the two pins that the connector connects to. If it powers on then it is simply the switch.

If that doesn't do it:

With the old power supply connected, disconnect everthing from the inside of the computer except for the memory, processor and video card.

Then try powering the computer on. If it powers on, it was just one of the peripherials that you had connected. Add each component one by one to determine the one that had the problem.

If you get everything back in and it works, then it was just a loose connection inside the computer.

If that doesn't isolate the problem, then it is one of those three things, the processor, memory or video card.

Try a new memory stick or video card or processor to try to isolate the problem further. Then when you find the culprit, just replace it.

A short in the 5 volt circuitry will cause that. A common cause is a damaged or shorted usb port.

If is is a short, when you turn the computer on, the power supply fan may run for about a second and shut off.

Check to see if the power supply is set to 110 not 220. Also pull the power supply out of motherboard and plug it back in.
