I would rather feel pain than nothing. Without pain you wouldn't have limits. You would just be an empty shell, constantly hurting yourself without knowing it.

Yes I would rather feel pain. Pain is an important emotion. All emotions are important. Whats the point of being human if you are just an empty shell.
Now with physical pain.............I could do without that!

No! I am in constant pain due to a physical condition. It is not fun. I would love to know what it would be like to be without pain in any form.
Causing yourself pain may prove to you that you are still alive, but joy and finding something productive to do will do the same thing.

some times nothing at all is worse than emotional pain.
What i have found with emotional pain is at least you still know that you can still feel and if you can feel you can feel better. Nothing at all leaves me totally alone with no where to go. With pain in time it can heal always wthh memories but you CAN heal.
