About everything from Y2K to global warming, it seems the media exists not to inform any longer, but to incite. Why do those of us who see it put up with it?

and, you do put up with it, as well as I, because we don't do anything ACTIVE , even to the extent of calling them out on it to stop it.

Fear and controversy sells. Good news does not.

The American people believe that we are losing in Iraq because the media decided that defeat will produce better ratings.

Dude global warming is true. but that Y2K was just a theory. You should listen to PunkRock, especially Leftover Crack. most punkrock bands tell the reasons why the media does it. but don't listen to major bands, with major labels. and they believe it because they see it. if they didn't see it then they wouldn't believe. remember "Seeing is Believing" ........yeah

Same reason the political dweebs do. They all want a population that is fearful, dependent and grateful for their "leadership", i.e. unamerican.

They do it for profit. It is and always been about money.

You do have a choice of not watching it or not buying it. If you don't like it don't do those 2 things, then you won't have to upset yourself about anything.
