I know and i do agree with you! why are they making such a big huff and puff if they know that its the pubblic that vote? and obviously he did n't get alot of votes, why should they make Sanjaya feel guilty for ?
And Randy and Simon are just hypocrites because they did n't even want to put sundance through it was paula who championed him through holloywood week.
It's also the fault of the producers this is the 3rd time they've made him stand next to the eliminee he clearly is not geeting the lowest votes so why don't they put somenone their instead? It's as if they want to purposely make him feel guilty.

You have to remember that they are judging on the singing ability, and the show sometimes becomes a popularity contest. I think they were saying that Sundance is a better singer than Sanjaya. Sanjaya is only 17 but if he wants to get into that industry he has to have very big shoulders and be able to handle all the comments good and bad. It is a tough business and Idol seems to be a great starting point for many new singers.

Of course I've known about the show, but this is my first season watching, and I was pretty shocked that they would say the things they did.
However, I do agree with their comments. It is a singing competition, and while the guys have been pretty weak, Sanjaya has been very one-dimensional and I feel he should have been booted. Not that Sundance was that much better.
I really think that the judges were trying to push the "vocal competition" issue to the American public, since it is the voting that dictates who stays and goes.
Just too bad that a very nice, talented 17-year-old kid needs to be slammed to make their point.

They were being honest, can't fault them for that. Sanjaya is way too naive to be there, in my humble opinion. He has no toughness to him and by prolonging his stay on the show, the so called voters are only prolonging his belief that he has the talent and the edge to stay on the show. I'm not saying the show should be brutalized but a little more focus on talent and charisma should be in order. Sabrina and Sundance being voted off in favor of those two no talent hacks was uncalled for.

I think Sanjaya should have been kicked off. Sundance should have made the top 12!!! I know it's not Sanjaya's fault but damn, they shouldn't have paired those to up to see which one stayed.

i'm so livid that Sanjaya is between the outstanding 12. I almost prefer to fairly watching the prepare. i don't be responsive to how every physique could desire to vote for Sanjaya. he's the greater severe singer I even have ever seen on Idol. The judges have the terrific suited to assert whats on their concepts purely like u . s . of america. If Sanjaya won't be able to take the forged with the undesirable according to risk he desires to %. up and head living house now( the place he could be at this element).

Sorry but I have to disagree, they have the right to state their opinion, and america voted for the wrong persons. sundance and sabrina should of been the ones to stay. and Paula did tell sanjaya no offense to him,

Its part of the entertainment world. If you cant stand the heat than get out of the kitchen. I'm sure Sanjaya knew what he was getting himself into.

I was just reading an article about the different seasons of Idol and the one's that stayed but should not have.
Voting in a winner is a crap shoot. It's all in whom is getting the votes.
I think Idol needs to replace it's current judges.
