On last night's American Idol when Sundance got voted off and they realized Sanjaya was staying, don't you think their "shocked" faces and comments were uncalled for on Sanjaya's part? They have to realize that this kid is only 17 and already has enough to deal with on his own right now! He doesn't need 3 judges saying they'd rather have some one else stay and he needs to go home! It's not like it's his fault he's staying! Who else agrees?

Yes, the comments and reactions were a little out of line and the poor kid (Sanjaya) was in shock and humiliated, I think.
Never the less, I don't think he deserves to be in the top twelve and should be the next one to go,.

I am so furious that Sanjaya is one of the top 12. I almost want to quite watching the show. I don't know how anyone could vote for Sanjaya. He is the worse singer I have ever seen on Idol. The judges have the right to say whats on their mind just like America. If Sanjaya can't take the good with the bad maybe he needs to pack up and head home now( Where he should be at this point).

The judges were dead on with what they were saying. They have made remarks for the last two weeks that people should be judging on the peron's singing ability not whether they are pretty or they feel sorry for them or whatever. Some of these people have worked very hard at their craft and this has to do with careers as well. They are not just 17 year olds that entered a contest. They have every right to be shocked and to say what they think. No I don't want to see the kid embaressed either (Sanjaya) but I think 2 of those choices last night were ridiculous.

I felt that way too. But, they r the judges. Probably made Sanjaya feel real good. I think they tell you, when you go on the show, that you have to take Randy, Paula and Simon outburst and what they say...

That was actually my favorite part of the show. I had it on DVR and kept rewinding and pausing so I could laugh at their expressions everytime the camera showed their shock.
The next best part of last night was watching them all at the end, and seeing how uncomfortable Sanjaya and Haley looked because they KNOW they shouldn't be in the top 12.

I don't think it was uncalled for......paula even said she wasn't comparing it to jsut sanjaya....but all the contestants....remember in the begining they would be shocked if sundance wasn't in the finals .....at least final 12.

I don't agree... they have a right to an opinion as well ... after all they are the judges... of course they where disappointed... and who could have hidden their feelings... the kids got some talent... but it needs a lot of work and he is just not ready for a contest of this kind... maybe in few years... when he ages some...but now... he should have been the one to pack his bags not sundance!

I agree with their comments. He can't sing and SHOULD have been voted off. They are judges, they're supposed to voice their opinions. Age is irrelevant. If he was a few months older and 18 (adult), would you have still asked the question?

they didn't mean it to sound like that but sundance didn't deserve to go. they need people that not only sing but that can sing good. sanjay or whatever his name is, he's an alright singer but i don't think he's ready for the competition, his voice doesn't sound like it's developed. i think people are so wrapped up into his innocent looks and pressed hair they don't realize true talent. although that wasn't sundance's best perfomance he still is better singer than sanjay.

The judges are entitled to their opinions. I agree it made things a bit uncomfortable, but they said what they felt. For the record, I felt the same way and I'm sure a few other people did as well.
