Can you tell me what your schedule (feeding and napping) is like for your 13 month old??

What do you think it should look like if I want him to be up at about 8am (not too early)? (is a very good night sleeper).

My son seems to be trying to drop a nap, but I can't seem to keep him up long enough in the morning, so that he naps later, to have less time between nap and bedtime (to avoid too early of a bedtime)

I don't know if this makes sense to you as you read it, but I'm just confused on how to ease the transition without having him go to bed/wake too early (I work until 12am everynight and am hoping his schedule can be adjusted a bit-- I know I know, may be wishful thinking right ?)

Thanks for input you might share !

I also just went through this with my son - 15 months. It seems like for a few weeks after they drop their morning nap, the afternoon nap has to be a bit earlier. I would just try to stretch it out till 11/11:30 and then give him lunch and put him to bed. Eventually, it'll probably be around 1. I try to go out and do things with my son in the morning to keep him occupied, and then we eat lunch about 12 now, and have nap from about 1-3. As far as how long he'll nap for, it depends on how much sleep he's getting at night. What time does your son go to bed at night?

If he's getting up at 8, I'm guessing he goes to bed at about 8? So you'll probably eventually want his nap to be from about 2-4. You can start giving him lunch earlier for a bit, and just keep pushing it back a bit each day. Eventually he'll get into the rhythm of things. Good luck!

My 11 mo old son has a 45 minute nap in the morning (usually 2-3 hours after waking) to catch that second wind and then a 1-3 hour nap starting shortly after he eats lunch.
Your son may be switching to one nap schedule.
My daughter is 3 and still takes the same one nap she took when she made the switch at 18mo....noon - 3.

he gets sleepy about 11am? I ran into this prob when my son was 11 months. I found its just a hump you have to get over. I knew that if i nursed him anytime from 10:30 to about noon, he would pass out. So I just didnt. He was a little fussy and I would ussually just have to carry him around with me. After a couple weeks he adjusted to going to sleep around 1pm and he doesnt get as cranky in the morning.

His typical shedule goes like this:
Wake around 7-8am
Breakfast at 8-9am
Lunch at 12pm
Nap 1-2pm
Snack when he wakes up (around 2-3)
Dinner around 6-7 pm
Bedtime at 8-9pm.

I keep a flexible shedule... I more look for his cues... oh, and he still nurses alot, so your baby might need more meals than that if hes not nursing. Hes 14 mo

nappys every 3-4 hours until soiled.

try putting him for a nap at around 12am for an hour or 2 that should keep him going all day
