Nope. If you delete them from the vault, they're gone forever. It won't hurt your computer to leave them in the vault, but if you want to delete them, go right ahead.

absolutely not you can't get infected by deleting them deleting is for the best at least they're not on your pc any more and no more a threat

They wont need to. If you have a Windows box, there are plenty more virii to infect your computer, 114,000 more to be exact. If you want to get rid of virii permanently, then get rid of Windows permantly. One good way is kubuntu for free at www.kubuntu.org
