When we were in juniour high,i remember putting codes on Ericsson sets and being able to scan frequencies and being able ot hear other ppl's conversations on the cellphone,i know pretty hopeless but it was fun for a while.
I was wondering if its different now,do kids still do it?

It is called Cellphone Evesdropping. Ever since some kids overhead some shady deals by a congressman and ratted him out to the DOJ, congress has passed a TON of laws that will put you in jail for the rest of your natural life if you do it intentionally, and still put you in jail for 2 to 5 years if you do it unintentionally. They like their shady deals kept hidden.

Essentially, just about any cellphone can be bugged or hacked to do this. All cell phones are always on and always connected and always transmitting their conversations. All you have to do is un-mute the receiving end and you can listen in on who you just last called.
