Could it be low taxes, great job market, good schools, clean air, or the fact you can marry your sibling?

Well being from Tennessee myself, here is my answer. I grew up here and when I was 18 I moved to California. I married a military person so we moved alot. I had the privilege of living in big cities and different places. Tennessee is by far the cleanest state that I have been in. Michigan is nothing but trash along the side of the road and a general feeling of not caring about it by the residents. Tennessee puts their prisoners to work picking up trash like that along the sides of the roads. I highly doubt Michigan does. Don't get me wrong, I am not picking on Michigan because alot of other states do the same thing. Its one that came to the top of my head first. We care about the appearence of our state. The schools are wonderful, I myself am a teacher and may have a bit of a biased opinion but anyway, they are. Also, for the record, it is against the law to marry a sibling here as it is anywhere. West Virginia gets blamed for that one too. So, that said, I hope it helps you.

It just is. For all the reasons you listed, except for that marrying siblings one (I'm not sure about that). Tennessee is just beautiful and clean with friendly people. Has great entertainment and then some. Enjoy!
