On a personal level, if a racist comment is made when I am present, I just tell the person that the comment is racist and I don't want to hear it.

It makes for some interesting moments, but I think more people should be doing this.

yes each nation should see that it is made up of one people for the most part. even canada . we have all come here except the indains and eskimo's from some other place but that was out great great great grandparents or even further back . so you see this is a white nation. simple . now its ok to add some flavour to a stew some new spice but if you dump too much spice in a stew it would not be good and at some point it would not be eatable.
so we have to see ok we got 25000 people from jamica in the last 2 years and gun crime shot up and the people who did this were black . dont pretend not to see this. its fact.
so we say ok too much of them no more 0 for another 25 years . do this with each nation each race track them crimes jobs how they fit in where they live there use of english so on all of it and never ever hide it . put the facts out in plain view .
then we can make sensible adjustments to the amount of spice coming from each place.
another thing is too not allow people from one counrty new imigrants to all live near each other . that is stupid thing to do . instead be like sweden and tell them ok you may live in this town only if you keep your job there ok if you commit a crime any crime your out . that simple . see imigrants all of them must say ok i am going to become canadain not i am going to move to canada and be a jamaican or whatever. no sir if i move to sweden or france or iraq i must say ok now i am going to become one of them i will walk the walk talk the talk and follow the rules. i cant expect them to change for me i must change for them if not leave. that is how it really is not how it must be or could be but how it works. right now we dont do that so race is a huge problem all around the world .
nations are set now . there are not going to be new nations anymore the borders are set the people are set so if you cross one border you must change to fit within that border.

Many attempts are made to fight rascism or hate generally.

There are the international games, inter-school interaction, debates etc., exchange programmes.

Maybe they need to be done more frequently and publicised more.

The thing is, it is easy to be judgemental when you do not KNOW who or what you are being judgemental about.

Interaction opens eyes.
