Is it the LGBT state? I've never heard that stereotype of West Virginia before. Are you talking about the stereotype that everyone in West Virginia is an inbred moron? I don't believe it but your placement of this question does nothing to help break that stereotype.

Because of how everyone in West Virginia is portrayed in the media. Every person in the world is part of some stereotype or another, just because they meet a couple of people of West Virginia they think every one from WV is like them and they couldn't be more wrong, WV is a beautiful state full of very nice people, I have relatives there and I spent many summer vacations in Huntington and Charleston and I can tell you I love it there, they do need some streetlights there though, at night it is too dark and a little creepy.

i'm from West Virginia and what I even have observed is that as quickly as ever a coach is on that happens in West Virginia, information memories secure., on purpouse or no longer i don't be attentive to yet they continuously seem to discover the those that extra healthful those stereotypes including lacking tooth, scraggilly finding, grimy white t-shirt and over-alls, can no longer talk perfect english, carrying around a shot gun, lazy tabaco chewing guy, that lives in a shack interior the woods with 10 little ones that every person stay off the land and act like loopy people. i'm from Parkersburg, WV and function been all over the state and that i'm conscious that there are places and persons in WV that extra healthful the stereotypes, yet what aggrivates me is people do no longer comprehend that no longer all of us is like that!!

The same reason they stereo type every other race\religion\sex. Don't worry about it too much and laugh about it. Your life will be much better.
