I'm not in the military and I still can't stand them. I mean, I don't get it!!! War sucks....yes, absolutely but it is also inevitable. Do they HONESTLY think that if America pulled back and said...."okay, we're going to be peaceful and not fight anymore" that the rest of the world is going to grab their Barbie dolls and come have a BBQ with us and play nice? NO WAY!!!

War sucks but thanks to the bravery and selflessness of our soldiers, we have been protected a little longer. One day this world will fall to the mercy of God, but for now....we can still be free in America because they are trying and dying out there to protect us for now.

God Bless America.....for no one else will.

Some members of the military are obviously quite brainwashed and they do and believe anything they are told. But that is not true of all members of the military.

There was a movie out a few years ago called Sir, No Sir which told the story about the rebellion within the military that occurred during the Vietnam War.

Here's that story as told from the Sir, No Sir website:

The Vietnam War has been the subject of hundreds of films, both fiction and non-fiction, but this story–the story of the rebellion of thousands of American soldiers against the war–has never been told in film. This is certainly not for lack of evidence. By the Pentagon’s own figures, 503,926 “incidents of desertion” occurred between 1966 and 1971; officers were being “fragged”(killed with fragmentation grenades by their own troops) at an alarming rate; and by 1971 entire units were refusing to go into battle in unprecedented numbers. In the course of a few short years, over 100 underground newspapers were published by soldiers around the world; local and national antiwar GI organizations were joined by thousands; thousands more demonstrated against the war at every major base in the world in 1970 and 1971, including in Vietnam itself; stockades and federal prisons were filling up with soldiers jailed for their opposition to the war and the military. Yet few today know of these history-changing events.

Gee, thats funny...I wonder how you know that's the truth?

Because I know from personal experience that every single guy (and girl) I know in the Army which is a lot..and I mean a lot...almost all of my friends are in the Army....wants the war to stop and are LIBERALS themselves....including about 98% of the Fort Stewart Army Base...including, my fiance, all of his friends, acquaintances, sargents, and generals.
As a matter of fact, I have never met a single soldier who actually supports Bush and his decision. They all hate him with a passion.
My fiance even said when his unit was out training before they went to Iraq, and the election was going on....THE WHOLE UNIT was PRAYING that Bush didn't get elected because they knew what would happen if he did....

So obviously you guys don't know crap about what your talking about. sorry. =(

Why don't you support that with some statistics that are legit. Most of the people I know that have come home from Iraq are disgusted with the way our government has dealt with this war. Let's talk to our soldiers a few months after they get home. We'll ask them how they feel about how their government is (not) supporting them with the benefits they were promised, and earned!

Since most people in the military know they are there to protect people's right to act and speak freely, the overwhelming majority of the military respect these protesters for standing up for what they believe--even if they don't agree. In fact, quite a few of the protesters are in the military themselves.

It's only a smalll group of people on the extreme right who don't realize that--and you really shouldn't listen to them. People will think you're as narrow-minded as they are.

No and they don't care. You know they voted to support the troops before they voted to cut the money off. Remember, these are the same people that Kerry tried to get their votes rejected because the dems don't really think they matter.

It may be your truth but you don't speak for everyone in the military.

No, they don't. They are, in the parlance of Limbaugh, stuck on Stoo-pid.

It would not make any difference, they don't care. They are so full of themselves and hatred they cannot see the damage they are doing. Its sad.
