Perhaps it means exactly what she said... Your voice may put others at ease and also calms others. This is the best way to communicate & teach as it transfers peaceful things as opposed to others (e.g. hateful things) which you may transfer to other people by, say shouting, etc.

You know how some people have those really high squeaky annoying voices that just drives you nuts? Well thats def an expample of what not a soothing voice is. And then there's people whos voices have no emotion and they sound like a droin and that's def not soothing. And then there are those people who have voices that sound almost like they are singing and yet they are just talking and that is a soothing voice. A voice that hits your ear just right to make the perfect pitch that makes it almost comforting to hear. I guess your one of the lucky ones, put your voice to good talent!

A soothing voice means you have a voice that makes your friend feel secure and comforted. You probably listen well and try to fix all your friends worries. This is a good thing, and you making your friends feel safe is surely positive.

It probably means that your voice has a calming effect for those around you. However, you cannot just take this compliment as it is. If she is the only one that says it, it could be that she's just flirting with you. If however, others have said it too, then it's probably true.
