She was working at a bridal shop in Flushing, Queens.
'Till her boyfriend kicked her out in one of those crushing scenes.
What she to do? where she to go? She was out on her fanny!
So over the bridge from Flushing to the Sheffields' door.
She was there to sell make-up, but the father saw more; she had style, she had flare, she was there, that's how she became the Nanny.
Who would have guessed that the girl we decribed was just exactly what the doctor perscribed?
Now the father finds her beguiling.

Watch out, C. C.

The kids are actually smiling.

Such joie-de-vivre.

She's the lady in red, while everybody else is wearing tan.
The flashy girl from Flushing, The Nanny named Fran!

Ok from memory:
She was working at the bridal shop in Flushing, Queens,
Till her boyfriend kicked her out in one of those crushing scenes.
What was she to do , where was she to go?
She was out on her fanny!
So over the bridge from Flushing, to the Sheffield's door;
She was there to sell make up but the father saw more.
She had style! She had class! She was there!
That's how she became the Nanny!
Who would have guessed that the girl we described was just exactly what the doctor prescribed?
Now the father finds her beguiling (watch out Cici!) And the kids are actually smiling ( Such Joi de vive!)
She's the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan! The flashy girl from Flushing! The Nanny named Fran!

I'm sure there are a billion songs, but at the moment, I'll go with Fall Out Boy's "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark." BQ1: Sometimes. BQ2: Yes. BQ3: Higher-pitched than it sounds to me but not marred by cigarettes or anything. BQ4: No way, lol.

Is that the "Be good, be good..." song? I think that is from an '80's band called "Men at Work."
