I like it. It has a kind of tall superior sound to it, like someone you'd look up to, and I'd think in this day and age, you'd want people to look up to him. And it could go for Nate for short.
Congratulations to you and your family for the new addition to come.

Nathaniel is a wonderful name....the middle names I'm not thrilled with but it is a nice normal name compaired to some of the other things people are coming up with. Its your moms choice though.

I named my son Nathaniel. People always comment on how unique and what a great name it is. We don't know any other Nathaniel's. We don't shorten it to Nat, or Nathan. I tell him it's a good, strong name...one to be proud of.

my youngest son's name is Nathan Ryan. after I named him, I wish I would have named him Nathaniel. we all call him Nate for short. Never has anyone called him Nat. even though i like the late and great Nat King Cole, I am glad no one called Nathan 'Nat'! it's a strong name! I picked Nathan Ryan because no one on my side or dad's side had either name. this saved alot of arguing!!!!!

Well that's a great name, he can be Nathaniel or Nate, Vinny or Vince...
It flows nicely and I'm big on flowy names...that whole name is very strong, congrats on the baby brother!

I really like it. If you don't like it, you can shorten it to Nathan or Nate - loads of people have nik names and pet names for their brothers or sisters! It's a traditional name too which I think is usually better. Fashionable names or celebrity names quickly go out of fashion so I think it's the better choice! Hope you enjoy your new wee brother when you get to meet him - whatever he gets called! x

i like it... but if you don't you can always call him nathan or nate for short. maybe you like it better that way calling your little brother nathan... if you don't like nathaniel or its variations... you could call him by the nicknames vin.. or vinny
cheer up... eventually it will grow on you... it takes time... just as getting used to the idea that there will be a new baby in the house

I think Vincent Nathaniel sounds better. you should talk to her about that. or if she names him nathaniel then just give him a cool nickname like nate.
