Being ripped apart would be worse, because it would probably be more painful. Usually, people who burn to death pass out from smoke inhalation early on in the process. But someone being ripped apart wouldn't pass out until they had lost enough blood, which takes longer. Plus, I'd hate to have a wild dog be the last thing I saw before I died!

Either case would be painful, but I would have to say the wild dog scenario would be worse.

In the "wild dog" scenario, the body would feel less initial pain because the pain base would be trauma. The body initially doses a large amount of endorphans in trauma cases, but they quickly wear off. The brain could stay alive, recieving input for several minutes after the head is severed. This could make your final moments very painful, and if the dogs are not efficient, it could take you some time to die.

In the "fire" scenario, Initially, you would have trauma, and also endorphans. Shortly thereafter, your skin would char, killing the nerve endings. Extreme heat would take your breath away, thus killing you in a relatively quick, painless manner, akin to drowning, or asphyxia. I know personally that drowning isn't so bad. I drowned in a lake in1994 and was resuscitated on the beach.

Hope this helps your curiosity...

I would have to say that being ripped apart by wild dogs would be worse. Generally, you will die from smoke inhalation before you start burning, so it seems like it would be less painful.

I'd rather get ripped apart by wild dogs. At least I would be able to go out fighting.

I would say being buried alive would be the worst way to go but if I had to chose between your choices above -- I would say the wild dogs.

I think that burning to death would be slower and more painful. But neither one is an ideal way to die.

I think burning would probably be more peaceful, and probably less painful, ultimately, but I'd take the dogs, because it's just way cooler, and you can fight, baby!

I think the wild dogs would be worst and fun at the same time because you can fight back, the fire... it leaves you helpless and frail.
