Like when typing a paper and learning where you can seperate words at the end of the row to make your paper balanced? Yes I know this has aged me, but heck just 20 years ago computers weren't availible to format a paper for us.

I remember sitting in typing class in highschool and being all excited that I would get to use one of the electric typewriters for the first time.

I also remember the pull tabs on soda cans.

I remember in gradeschool how neat we thought it was to get a copy of a document that had been freshly mimeographed (you had to sniff it :) ).

When I first went in the army the only form of "water proof" boots we had was if you wore the big rubber galoshes.

Cursive handwriting. No one actually hand writes letters anymore. All professional documents are typed. Also, most people communicate via the internet (e-mail or IM, etc) so there is no need to learn the proper handwriting.

Years ago I became quite expert at using a slide rule. Today I doubt if you can even buy one (and I had a beauty).

The main thing that's happened to me is that I don't know anybody's phone number anymore. I have them all stored on my mobile.
