This incorrect information. It is possible to take an entire pack of birth control pills (same strength) after having sex to prevent conception. This works like the morning after pill and it's what doctors recommended before the M.A.P. was released.

There is no amount of birth control pills to take to cause an abortion. They simply don't have that effect after conception has occured. If you are pregnant and need an abortion, you really should go an see a doctor or health clinic. Don't put your health in danger.

The "morning after pill" is actually a specific dose of birth control pills that can either prevent ovulation (the release of an egg) or prevent a newly conceived human being from implanting into the womb, causing his or her death at 5-9 days old. You can find more information at http://morningafterpill.org .

There is no combination of birth control pills that are taken to cause an abortion after the baby is already implanted in the womb. If you are thinking of a chemical abortion, you should know that at least 11 women have died after aborting their baby using RU-486:
http://www.nrlc.org/Factsheets/FS15_pilldanger.pdf
http://www.lifeissues.org/ru486/deaths.htm

In a chemical or so-called “medical” abortion, two chemicals are given. The first cuts off your baby's source of nourishment, causing her to starve to death inside your womb. The second chemical causes hard contractions to push the dead baby out of your body. This takes an average of nine days, bleeding is profuse, and pain is severe. Sometimes, parts of the baby are left inside your womb, where they can rot and cause infection. This is what killed 18-year-old Holly Patterson in California several years ago.

Surgical abortions carry their own risks. In a surgical abortion, the abortionist must first force open your cervix, which is very tightly closed to protect the baby. This can result in tearing and permanent damage. He then inserts a sharp-tipped suction tube into your womb and turns on suction 30 times more powerful than a vacuum cleaner. The suction tears the baby apart and pulls her out of your womb. He then inserts a curette (a loop-shaped steel knife) into your womb to scrape out any remaining parts of the baby and your placenta. Some abortionists use only the curette to cut apart the baby rather than using suction. Abortion is a "blind procedure." The abortionist cannot see what he is doing after he inserts the sharp instruments into your womb, but must go by "feel." As a result, he can puncture your uterus, bowel, or bladder. Women have died from so-called "safe and legal" surgical abortions as well:

Abortion is most dangerous for your child, of course. Just three weeks after conception, your baby's heart is already beating. Please take a look at this information:

This is incorrect. If you are pregnant and do not want to continue with your pregnancy, you need to be responsible and either see your regular gynecologist or visit a Planned Parenthood clinic in your area.

Taking too many birth control bills can be very bad for your health. The risks include: blood clots, hemorrhaging, thyroid problems, and unbalancing your body's PH levels (which can lead to strokes, seizures, heart attacks, coma, and even death). Taking too many birth control pills can also seriously effect your ability to have children in the future and can raise your chances of cancer.

Please be responsible. Take care of your body. Planned Parenthood will help you - before, during, and after in all aspects of your care.

No. But some forms or combinations of contraception, specifically the intrauterine device (IUD), Norplant, and certain low-dose oral contraceptives, often do not prevent conception but prevent implantation of an already fertilized ovum.
