A Buick is a big car and most of the non-American cars built in China are small by comparison.

becoz the cars produced there are dirt cheap compared to the ones in america (if u have money to spend and the product is cheap u will naturally buy)....

about GM closing its plant in america its bcoz the wages paid to the workers in america are too high compared to 3rd world countries (or developing).....in lame man's terms the more you pay for wages less profit you get.....and also when, in these not-so-rich countries large companies can exploit workers by not following the kind of safety standards that the companies have in their home countries

My guess is because GM caters to the best market. Look if Buick isn't selling well in the US but is in China wouldn't just make sense to close factories here? From a business aspect I would say its a smart decision.

People in China are totally nuts for certain American brands -- Motorola, Microsoft, Buick ... people there worship Bill Gates.

I don't know why but if they are trying to boost their own economy it's quite intelligent.

We as people know the answers to most of our problems if we bonded together rather than be selfish about it. They are not as spoiled and selfish so my theory is very possible!
