my co-worker is going to russia for a mail order bride. he stated the trip is for a volunteer/humanity cause, etc. but i use his cpu sometimes, and theres always match.com, etc. this is all well and good. but now theres websites, meet russian mail order sites, etc. now i don't really care, but i work with about ten other guys, and this information would be over the top for them. i'm in the position where i can humiliate this poor kid, or keep it sealed. i hate to do it, but i know as soon as we go out for some brewskies, its gonna come out, its too funny not too. at the same time, the poor guy. but what the hell? if you can't find love here, what makes you think you'll find it across the world? i just don't get it?

Many of the women in Russia are desperate to improve their lifestyles since they are at a lower economic level than we are here. They will even give themselves to any American who would love them and take care of them here. Many have done this already and are making fine American families.

It isn't all that different than in the American pioneer days when women in the eastern U.S. would advertise as mail order brides and marry some guy out west in hopes of having a better future. Many of them had happy lives and raised their kids to be fine Americans.

You need to curb your desire to humiliate this guy and mind your own business. What right do you have to judge him? If he is sincere and the woman in Russia is sincere, they just might make one happy and decent couple. This is a country of new beginnings for immigrants regardless of where they come from and until the 20th Century, most of our population were immigrants. Lighten up.

Just because you share a space with someone doesn't make it your space. Keep your knowledge to yourself. It may be funny, but all these other people you work with will know immediately that you can't be trusted once you tell your story.
