Monsoon on the highstreet have beautiful dresses, and they are of affordable and reasonable prices.
Or John Lewis, Debenhams will have nice dresses, and again aren't too expensive.
If you want designer dresses try Selfridges in your area or you could come down to London for a shopping trip and buy a gorgeous dress.

But if not, go for Monsoon, Im sure you will find something.

In Shirley town centre, there's a bridal shop called something along the lines of 'Brides of Shirley' opposite the 'Plume and Feather' pub and very close to the drive thru burger king. I got my prom dress from there. The shop looks small from the outside but they're very friendly, not too expensive (I bought mine for £85) and they custom fit it to your shape (if required).

I'd recommend it.

:-)
